Within the frame of supporting initiative, entrepreneurship and competitiveness among Greek companies, GENESIS Pharma sponsored for a second consecutive year the 2nd International Corporate Social Responsibility Conference entitled "Corporate Social Responsibility: For a more competitive Europe".

The conference, organized by The Economist, in collaboration with the Federation of Greek Industries and the Greek Network for Corporate Social Responsibility, took place on the 28th of February at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, and was marked with great success

Mr. Constantinos Evripides, CEO of GENESIS Pharma, and one of the main speakers at the Conference, commented on the modern issues surrounding the meaning of Corporate Social Responsibility, its function and the benefits it offers to the companies. During his speech he stated: "At GENESIS Pharma, Corporate Social responsibility is more than an astute business practice or a stand-alone programme. It is a system based on values that all our employees and partners adopt. It is part of our internal procedures and contacts. It requires neither a lot of time nor money. Corporate Social Responsibility is a way of thinking and acting for us".

The 2nd International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility attracted the interest of profound personalities from both the political and the business community of Greece along with executives from Corporate Social Responsibility communities from both Greece and abroad. Present at the conference, among others, were the Minister of Employment and Social Protection, Mr. Panagiotopoulos, the Vice-Minister of Health, Mr. G. Konstantopoulos, Mrs. A. Diamantopoulou, Member of the Parliament, the President of FGI, Mr. O. Kyriakopoulos, the President of CSR Europe, Mr. F. Welvaert, and the President of the Greek CSR Network, Mr. N. Analytis.
