GENESIS Pharma, one of the fastest growing Greek pharmaceutical companies in the area of biotechnology, supports the Special Olympics Global Festival which will be held in Rhodes from May 14th until May 22nd 2004 by the Greek Special Olympics Committee, in the context of the European Year of "Education through Sports".
The Special Olympics Global Festival, aims at educating and informing the youth about the beneficial effects of sports towards people with mental and learning disabilities. The contribution of GENESIS Pharma at this event was realized through the "Adaptation of 50 Athletes" and is part of the company's Social Responsibility program and the support of important social initiatives.
As a sign of recognition of GENESIS Pharma/s offer towards the successful organization of the Special Olympics Festival, the company was granted a special award by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ioannis Valinakis to Mrs. Niki Xenodohidou, GENESIS Pharma/s Vice President Marketing and Sales, who stated: " For us Corporate Social Responsibility is an extension of the human need for offering and constitutes a sign of civilization that goes beyond corporate practice. In this context, the support of such an important institution as the Special Olympics is not a priority but much more, it is an obligation".
